What is VMware Esx Server and what is it for?
VMware is a company established in 1999 and VMware Workstation, the first product we all know. This product is our software that we build into our PCs and allow to work with other virtual PCs at the same time as Windows. They later developed this product for the server environment. In 2001, we introduced ESX Server1 to our users. This product allows multiple operating systems to run on a single server, such as Workstation, but does not have any operating system running under the difference from Workstation. Thanks to a zero-optimized and highly optimized kernel, this product has been able to manage resources for virtual servers most effectively. Developed and introduced new features in the following years, they have developed the application we call centralized management platform called Virtual Center. With Virtual Center, you can now manage all your ESX Servers and virtual servers from a single screen.

Let us come to the installation of the software we say: vmware esx server
ESX Server is software that is built directly on hardware like we said. The setup is very simple, those who have Red Hat Enterprise Linux will never encounter strangers, and those who have not installed will not have any difficulties. You can call this RHEL from where it came from. I have said that ESX Server's kernel is a kernel that is completely developed from scratch, but how do we send commands to this kernel? For this, VMware has modified RHEL and used it as a service console. In fact, you are installing a console as well as the esx server in kernel. After installation, we manage this small tool via the Virtual Infrastructure Client (VI Client) (you can download this tool from the screen that pops up in the web browser with the IP we give to the Service Console). With this tool, we can create a virtual machine (VM), we can change the virtual hardware, we can take the VM console screen and manage it, etc.

When we boot from CD, the following screen comes up, here are two options: Load with graphical display and load on text screen. I choose the graphical one (just press Enter for that)
